Inpatient Children’s Program:

The decision to hospitalize a child must be made very carefully and only after the least restrictive alternatives have been considered. Children may enter an acute or sub-acute (residential) program based on their individual needs.

Inpatient Adolescent Program:

The goal of our adolescent program (ages 13-17) is to assist teenagers to move beyond their problems so they can grow to reach their potential. Both chemical dependency and psychiatric issues may be addressed in this intensive program. Adolescents may also inter an acute or sub-acute (residential) program based on what is best for them to transition back to their communities.

Academic Programs:

School is a child’s work and is important for teaching self-esteem and social skills. Our Certified Special Education Department works closely with public school officials to help maintain the child’s academic progress while in the hospital. All of our academic programs are approved by the Arkansas Department of Education.

Inpatient Adult Services:

Our adult program provides psychiatric and medical stabilization in a safe, compassionate environment that promotes crisis resolution and positive self-awareness.

Therapeutic Day Treatment (TDT):

Therapeutic Day Treatment provides education (K-12) coupled with intensive outpatient mental health services. This setting creates opportunity for students to pursue individualized educational and behavioral plans designed to assist them in making progress with their emotional and social needs. Our goal is to successfully transition the child back into the traditional classroom. Our TDT programs are approved by the Arkansas Department of Education to assure your child will receive the best education in addition to mental health services.

School Based Services:

School based counseling services are designed for students who have difficulties in the classroom and may find it difficult to maintain appropriate behavior while attending class. Case managers and licensed counselors are available to see children and adolescents in the school setting during the school day as well as work with the families.

Outpatient Counseling Centers:

Vista Health’s counseling centers are designed to help clients cope more effectively with life’s challenges in an outpatient setting. Licensed counselors, Social Workers, and Case Managers provide comprehensive treatment programs for individuals, couples, and families.

Free Confidential Assessments:

All of our hospitals and outpatient treatment centers offer free comprehensive mental health assessments.

During the assessment process a Needs Assessment Coordinator assists in identifying problems and consults with one of our physicians to determine the appropriate level of care.

There is never a fee for the initial assessment, and our clinicians are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to assess emergent situations.
